FAMILY DISCOVERS STRANGE OBJECT IN TOMATO

A former Deputy Registrar (DR) with the Niger Delta University (NDU) Amassoma, Bayelsa state, Mr. Sunny Agency has called on the National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC) and the Standard Organization of Nigeria (SON) to thoroughly inspect sealed and canned consumable items produced in the country before bring such product to the market.

Mr. Agbafor, made this call, when His family discovered an unidentifiable object in a sachet tomato paste, unknowingly used to prepare the family meal on Sunday.

The retired DR in a chat with newsmen in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa state capital opines on the high level of negligence by the relevant agencies entrusted with the sole responsible to protect the public from consuming harmful products.

He also, lend his voice by urging NAFDAC and SON to be more proactive and ensure drastic measures  to curtail harmful products, especially canned and sealed consumable in the country.
