The Vice-Chancellor, Achievers University Owo (AUO) Ondo state, Engr. Prof. Tunji Ibiyemi has urged academic staff of the institution to commence online teaching and interactions with the students.
Prof. Ibiyemi in a statement through the Registrar of the institution, Rev Canon Bayode Oladimej said the online academic process should commence from Tuesday April 14th.
The statement informs that the university through it's ICT unit is putting in place online platforms for use by the students, adding that the Deans of Colleges in the University should ensure the Heads of Departments comply with the directive.
The university administrator also urged Nigerian students to abide by efforts of the federal and state governments to contain COVID-19 spread.
This directive is coming few weeks after the minister of education, Adamu Adamu, in a joint meeting(online) with university's VC to bridge the gap in learning by employing the online major's, due to Covid-19 pandemic.
