CARPENTER ARRESTED FOR DEFILING SIX YEARS OLD.

Personnel of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence have arrested one Benjamin Jato, a 32-year-old carpenter in Kaduna for defiling a six-year-old in the state.

Jato, who lives in Bayan-Dutse in the Chikun Local Government Area of the state, was arrested on Wednesday.

It was gathered that the suspect took the advantage of his familiarity with the girl’s  parents to perpetrate the act.

The victim who resides in a rented apartment with her aunt, was said to have being defiled in a bathroom by the carpenter.

One of the tenants who lives in the same compound with the six years old, said, “Initially I was told that she fell in a gutter because I saw blood on her cheeks, as the blood on her had  been washed by the suspect.

“But after a critical check on her body, I discovered blood on her laps.

“When we prevailed on her, she opened up that the man raped her and warned that she must not disclose it to anyone, else she will die.”

The NSCDC state Commandant, Babangida Dustinma, who spoke through the state Public Relations Officer, ASC Orndiir Terzungwe, in a statement, said that the suspect will be charged to court after thorough investigation has being carried out.
