COACHES SELECT WEAKER PLAYERS OVER STRONGER ONE'S OSAZE TELLS MEDIA TEAM

BY SOLOMON IJEBOR:

Former super eagles international Osaze Odemwingie, has revealed that some former  coaches of the National team, were player managers.

The 38 years old star made this known in an interview with the  super eagles media team via  a live section on Instagram.

According to Odemwingie, he said that some of the coaches, prefer to make  use of  weaker players over the stronger ones during matches, because they want to market the players.  In his words, "some of our coaches do get involved in a bit of player management, they had management companies.
Shuaibu Amodu for instance, had a management company.

He also lamented over  being left out of 2013 Africa cup of Nations winning team, saying he would have reached out to the then coach of the team, late Stephen Keshi, to settle their rift.

Osaze made his super eagles debut in 2002, and went on to feature in four AFCON and two world cup tournaments, and was also part of the team that won silver, in 2008 Beijing Olympics.

With this revelation by Osaze Odemwingie, will it be safe to say that, the reason some of our national team some time under perform in some tournaments, was as a result of some weaker players that  were selected to be part of the team by some of these player managers? Well, your guess is as good as mine.?
