DO NOT PLAY SECOND FIDDLE: ROHR WARNS OSIMHEN AMIDST TRANSFER RUMOUR

BY SOLOMON IJEBOR:

It is no longer news that Europe elite clubs are in the race to sign Super eagles Striker, Victor Osimhen, after He  put  up an impressive performance for His French club, Lille,  in the just concluded Ligue 1 season.

Osimhen who joined  the French club from Belgian club Sporting Charleroi, last summer for around £12m, scored 18 goals for Lille, in his debut season, before the league was discontinued due to the CORONAVIRUS pandemic.

However, Super Eagles Head Coach, Gernot Rohr, has cautioned the talented Striker not to play second fiddle if He eventually join any of the club in the summer.

According to Rohr, in an interview with channels Television, "Victor Osimhen have a very big opportunity to go  to  a very big club in the premier league or Italy. This is a success for him and for  the Super Eagles, but if He is not playing it wont be good for Him as a young player, because a young player has  to be playing to progress. If we have players playing at the high level clubs, our level in the Super Eagles, will also grow" he said.

It is on record, that premier league clubs,
such as Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester
United, Arsenal, Tottenham as well as some other clubs in Spain and Italy, are all in the race to sign the 21 years old striker..
